Welcome to Wood With History where our business is to design and produce high quality built-in furniture that will enhance the character of your home.

We pay particular attention to detail and finishing, using original fixtures and fittings wherever we can, and we aim to do this without reducing the number of trees in the world.

Therefore we use reclaimed, antique and second hand timber and fittings wherever possible.

 

This makes all our work unique, giving it character and a sense of history, everything we create for you was part of something else in its previous life.

Sometimes the inspiration for a design can come from the reclaimed materials we find available. Other times it may come from a piece of furniture you already have or an original feature in your home.

It may be that old pot sink in the garden that we decide to re-enamel, or the existing doors and skirting in your house that inspires the theme for us to create your new kitchen that feels as if it has always been there.
